Anyone who enjoys this game should check out Andretti Racing, a sequel released in 1997. Overall, it's a solid racing game that offers some new ideas and decent realism, though it's nothing earth-shattering. A nifty little title that challenged racers to a variety of series and then allowed them to spend the resulting prize money as they moved up the ranks to 'Championship Cars'. I'm not a fan of the early 90's 3D polygons in racing games, but Mario Andretti offers some pretty interesting racing action for its time. It features a fun career mode and a nice selection of different tracks and cars, from Sprint Cars and Stock Cars to Formula 1 and Indy.
